Cultivate Embodiment

It has been said that the journey of seeking or spiritual development, begins with a deep connection to the body first. We will go deep into the body to connect the internal structures, and cultivate vitality

Precious Gift of a Rare Opportunity

Bhutan itself is a precious Kindgom of exaltation and immersion into the sacred. this paired with a rare "intact " Chi-Based Internal Martial Arts Lineage via a Western-Accessible Master Is truly an Anomaly

WHY TRAIN "INTERNALS' or SOFT MARTIAL ARTS

Origin as Nei Gong, then synthesized to make it easier to learn yet it still "packs a punch" of rich method and martial components

Part of the process is to soften, or relax deeply, and reduce the tension in our bodies so that we can listen from a deep, quiet, and receptive place.

From there, we develop proper alignment and with it the rarity of deep foritfication that can receive oncoming force: wheather it be a stressor of life, or an attacker and we learn to move with grace and ease as we ground it effortlessly into the Earth.

From there, we can use the beyond powerfully intelligent dynamic internal structure to return any desired force the the proverbial attacker, or more metaphorically instead redirect the force as supportive momentum in our life.

WHAT MAKES "YAN SHOU GONG" (YSG) SPECIAL AS A DISTILLED SHAOLIN NEI GONG

BOTTOMLESS POWERFUL WISDOM

NeiGong is considered PHD level equivalent to what some would call the mythical and precious university training at the Shaolin temple in China. Many commercial chi or qi gong systems I’ve discovered over the past 10+ years have limitations in their content and application depth. The name for this Nei gong system is “Yan Shou Gong,” and it is the foundation level of this tradition yet is also a complete system.

SYNTHESIZED & ACCESSIBLE

Master Yap is a gift to us as the elder because of his ability to make this accessible to the western mind.

Its is truly rare to have such well documented frameworks and roadmaps to support the western student. Other masters generally respond to questions with "train harder".

It would otherwise take 10-20 years of on-site immersion in the Shaolin temple to learn and embody the 170+ [Confirmation needed] forms of the 2 parent bodies of work.  This content is usually very hard to come by too.   We are fortunate to have found this noble lineage that has distilled potent and key elements into 36 primary forms, with others thereafter.

You can spend 1 year on Form 1, and it will upgrade your body for the rest of your life.

HARD ARTS VS SOFT "INTERNAL" MARTIAL ARTS

The reality is that HARD (Mainstream Karate, Even Boxing, or MMA) styles have a diminishing value as we age. The likelihood of injury is high, and relying on the body's muscle strength and cardio is guaranteed to disappear as we age. Meanwhile, the SOFT (tai chi and some kung fu) styles will continue to become more powerful as we age and develop a subtle sensitivity and richer life application.  So from a yield optimization perspective, it’s clear Soft Martial Arts or Internal (Martial) Arts are an investment that pays off more deeply and perhaps exponentially over a lifetime.

FASCIA ACTIVATION

Like Bruce Lee or other highly cultivated martial artists, there is a way this training provides a rare approach where your fingertips are connected to your toes like a spider web of pullies and springs. This recruitment can last a lifetime once activated.  For Example:

  • Some students after a brief 2-3 month practice. of regular training, see an immediate 30-50% increase because of unlocking making the outer muscle/tendons/ligaments into interconnected strings and springs.
  • In a Martial context, we have witness 3 - 10 times increase in power output from demonstrations.

QI (CHI) + PROFOUND MARTIAL STRENGTHENING

Most qi gong is strictly energy cultivation, with some limited in the capacity they activate without fortified structural work. This Nei Gong form not only opens energy channels in a rich way, they also builds deep martial strength with rooting, centering, and grounding. These words are usually thrown around causally like buzzwords in spiritual circles with empty meanings. In the martial world, they mean something critical to success and are especially measurable; they are the central pillars and principles of dealing with conflict in a combat setting or, more commonly, stressors more broadly in a daily life capacity. From a practical perspective, when someone is rooted, they allow the blows of life to pass through them, when they are not, they get tossed on the proverbial rocks.

"WuMei" LEGENDARY MARTIAL APPLICATION

[insert WuMei Copy]

There is an elusive and elite high-level applications in a martial form called “Wumei” a mythical and legendary lethal energetic system that literally takes over other people's bodies with grace and overpowers even the largest of attackers.

More on that below in the interview links.

Another more attainable form of martial application is in "5 Ancestor"
